Submitting articles to CleanRooms magazine

CleanRooms contributed technical articles are original tutorials that describe in detail techniques and technologies that are relevant to the contamination control professional.

Contributed technical articles should run about 2,000 (+/-500) words (Microsoft Word document), and include 3 to 5 pieces of art (photos must be in .jpg, .tiff, or .eps format, high-resolution minimum 300 dpi at 3x5 inches). Please send your submission electronically. If that is not possible due to size constraints, you can send the document and accompanying artwork on CD-ROM via regular post.

Please remember that a contributed article is not the forum in which to introduce or extol the features and benefits of a specific new product or hype your company.

If you're considering contributing an article, please contact Carrie Meadows, Managing Editor, to discuss your topic. An abstract is a helpful tool in enabling us to determine whether your topic of interest is appropriate for our readership. If, based on that discussion, we’re interested in publishing your article, you’ll be asked to submit a draft. After a manuscript is received, we’ll review it and either formally accept it or let you know what changes are required for publication.

Keep in mind that, as a condition of publication, the author will be asked to sign a contributing article agreement that attests to the fact that the article has not been previously published. Please do not pitch an article to CleanRooms that has been published elsewhere.

For a list of appropriate topics, you can review a copy of our current editorial calendar.
